I Hate Communism
I grew up as a red diaper baby during the 1950s , the Red Scare era in the U.S. While I sympathized with those who were unfairly oppressed by the hysteria of that era, I did not emerge from it sympathizing with my mother's dedication and belief in her hero, Josef Stalin. My childhood was difficult because my mother saw me mainly as a security risk for the Communist Party. She'd been dedicated to the CP since childhood.
