Question: If everyone believes that both of the choices were bad...why not choose someone else?

**Warning: The Somewhat Rare Serious Post About Politics**

I mean it's pretty easy to see neither Trump or Hillary were the best choices, but everyone seemed to forget that they weren't the only choices.

It's like going to Walmart (Keeping the American theme going here) looking at the first shelf by the door then thinking "Well I must buy something from here or nothing at all"

There are very valid reasons why neither of them should even be let into Washington DC, let alone The White House...but there were quite a few other candidates that didn't have such luggage.

I thought voting no confidence was the best way to go if you didn't support one

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Still though, there were three mainstream candidates that were fuelled by the media...there were still other candidates outside of those three that nobody even cared to look into.

@Fangirlsarah1996 The media always does that. Mainstream media is for the people that do not read or research all candidates and other events. They let the anchors be their guide which is normally a poor choice.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Because it's an opinion through a filter...it's not you formulating an opinion of say...Donald Trump...it's you formulating an opinion, based on someone elses opinion, someone who probably didn't do any research themselves either.

@Fangirlsarah1996 Exactly most media is bias one way or the other. The only way to get the true facts is reading through a bunch of different sources and finding those sources staying informed is tiring but it is important if you want you opinion to be a valid one.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Agreed, I keep thinking the modern democratic process needs an unbiased way of spreading valid information, both good and bad, about the candidates...the system we have now means the masses will agree with whoever is popular enough...it's why the left hired celebrities to advertise their cause, as most people would just automatically follow in their stead.

@Fangirlsarah1996 Absolutely, until we can manage a way to make these "news" outlets only spread facts there will always be uninformed people.
Fangirlsarah1996 · 26-30, F
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit It's why a lot of people are starting to distrust the news, on both sides of the political spectrum, because the news ALWAYS takes a side and it never hides it's choice.
Mrsbetweenfatandfit · 26-30, F
@Fangirlsarah1996 Yeah it is sad when they totally ignore what their position is to just push their own agenda.
Fangirlsarah1996 · 26-30, F
@Mrsbetweenfatandfit It's even starting to get a little scary...like what happened to that guy who just posted a meme that Trump happened to like, they threatened him then blackmailed him into taking the meme down and making a public apology :/

It's not like it was anything more than a meme either.

@Fangirlsarah1996 People get insane with politics.
I have seen good people on different sides of a political fence claim how stupid and evil the other one must be. It is so easy to do that. To try and disable your disagreeing party's opinion by shouting negative assumptions instead of having intellectual conversations to hear why the two of you disagree. It is not something anyone should be proud of.

@Mrsbetweenfatandfit Both sides have expertly succeeded in demonising the other, I can say that much about the situation.
