Ever noticed that those who demand "power to the people" also believe that people can't do anything right without government supervision?

Umm...I thought that was supposed to mean people getting good value out of government for their vote

Government is democratically elected. Corporations are not.

All the real political change that has benefited ordinary people has come due to a combination of both.

What I notice is, people who think its okay to vote corrupt idiots into office are usually the ones who complain most about government being the enemy.

I don't know what it suggests in the USA, but in Britain and Europe the phrase used to be associated with hard-line Left-wing parties including the Communists, leading one to ask "Which people do you have in mind as having the power?"

The tyranny of the majority .... demanding a government that will keep the minority in line.
