My poll got it spot on...unfortunately.

How do you feel about the result?

First, congratulations to Labour, who fought the best campaign and did better than almost anyone expected.

Second, it's a disgrace that May is trying to remain as PM. The Tories are entitled to try to form a government, but not with May in charge. She called the (unnecessary) election with a specific objective, failed to achieve it, and should go. I hope some of her colleagues shaft her over the weekend.

Interested to know your views on the SNP performance, and the relative recovery of both Labour and Tories in Scotland.

@MartinII: Happy we kept a majority but losing the likes of Salmond to tories hurt. I don't mind Slab as long as they support Corbyn but "Scots" voting Tory is just disgusting.

@thatscottishguy: Why disgusting?

But I was really more interested in your opinion of why the results turned out as they did. Obviously I know your own political views!

Well I think voting Tory in general is disgusting but I have just always been taught that we don't vote Tory. If people done it based on policy I could maybe accept it but it was just because Ruth shouted about the union the most. I think mainly it was the opposition to indyref2 for that got the other parties seats but Labour is a little different. That will have been a big factor for them but Corbyn caused some Yes supporters to switch to them this time.

@thatscottishguy: Thanks. I wonder if central Scotland's strong socialist tradition was a factor too. Jimmy Maxton, red Clydeside and all that. Corbyn's old-fashioned left-wing platform might have been particularly attractive in those parts.

Found it tempting myself but don't trust the party and would rather indy.
