Appears that the referendum was close. With Britain largely divided on the issue hope it was the right decision. What's everyone's take?

It seems like London and the relatively properous urban areas voted to stay but everyone else (except in Scotland) wants to leave. Only time will tell if its the right decision but I cant help thinking that these people have just voted to make themselves even worse off in the short term.
