Beside as far as I know the crusade started a long time after Muslims invasion and I am glad it happened even though I am not a Christian.

Islamic invasion of India beginning from 1000 AD was a catastrophe for humanity. It shattered one of the most advanced civilization of the world. Islamic rule saw systematic destruction of proud tradition of art, science and learning in the Indian sub-continent. India which used to the world leader in science especially in Mathematics, Astrophysics and Medicines suffered a civilizational devolution.
One of the priorities of the Muslim invaders was to break down the temples of the conquered.
