I love the scenery, and some of the people, but as far as I'm concerned, leftists have nothing to be proud of. I realize there's not much point in saying so, but these posts are just an opportunity to reiterate that the political left in the United States is a very destructive force, and once again, I will say that the left will make the USA as vulnerable as a slug in a salt mine. I wish I had some kind of mojo to make the leftists see how bad they are for this country. I'm not going to get myself worked up into a Jung shadow man tonight. It's hard to be silent when the emperor is naked as a Jay bird, and everyone's talking about how nice his clothes are.
@plaguewatcher: I'm only slightly right of center myself. I'm a bit more hawkish than you, but pretty 'Bohemian' in the long run.
@puck61: See? there is no truth to All "x" are "Y"
thnks for the backfeed
@plaguewatcher: That's the truth! Kind of reminds me of an old country and western song.,

President Babyhands made a big mistake when he threatened to stop federal funding to California. The state that pays the most in federal tax, BY FAR, and has the sixth largest economy in the WORLD, carries a little more weight than he expected.

@Ynotisay: Great post. Just amazing the level of ignorance among those who try to demonize certain areas of this country. I've read similar crap here about Chicago. You know what: every large urban area and state in this country has some degree of budgetary issues due to the "starve the beast" mentality on the right. But highly educated urban areas and states like California, Chicago, Atlanta, Mass, the research triangle are going to continue to be the economic engine of this country.

@luckranger71: And yet are disproportionately under-represented in government. Wyoming has the same say in the Senate as does Illinois or California.
I think that's why things like lowering fuel standards and environmental restrictions (along with a host of other things) are met with such derision here in CA. We've voted for legislation that reflects how we want to live. And we pay for it. Having that threatened is a non-starter.

@luckranger71: Has nothing to do with starve the beast right. Look it up, all large cities are totally run by dimwit dumbocrats. They never could manage money.

California is usually on the cutting edge of most trends and so it's no surprise they're out front on this.
strongbow · 46-50, M
lol... this is everything about them bein sore losers
Greathands01 · 61-69, M
@strongbow: no one in California cares about Hillary losing. We care about this Country and Constitution over partisan politics. One day con artist supporters will understand.
Greathands01 · 61-69, M
In fact, I think many wanted her to lose (in the primaries). We just might have a different President if that happened.
as an Oregonian,, I like cali people FINE

....in California..

thanks and nice that you know the tindrummer reference - love the book and the movie's pretty good too
@tindrummer: we are just bitching, because we can no longer afford to live in our old neighborhoods..
gentrification, is not just a cali thing
Ynotisay · M
@plaguewatcher: And as a Californian when I hear someone use the word "Cali" I know they've either never been here or can't cut it here.

If you can't live in your old neighborhood that's on you and your state. And it's hardly just Californians moving there. We're balanced with people moving in and out. And the most common reason people do move to Oregon? For their jobs. So maybe it's Oregon's employment pool that needs a little work.

I dig Oregon but there's not a chance in hell I'd move there. Couldn't deal with a place that blames others the way Oregon blames California for their own problems. Pretty state though.
Just a couple of them

@jjoe01: Why?
Trump did nothing wrong to be impeached.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@jjoe01: I realize that. I'm not smart but I think some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth are just so dumb.

I live on the coast south of San Francisco (one of my favorite cities) and love it. In addition to the natural beauty of my adopted state I'm very comfortable here politically and socially. I grew up in Texas and, except for Austin, I wouldn't want to live there again.

@NigelDoes: Mee Too. However, as a group, they can really shake things up.
Yep, Alameda's right across the Bay. Along with Richmond and Berkeley.

I went to California once when I was still living in the US. They're a bunch of faggots.
