If a American gave up there citizenship can they get it back?

Say you are born in the United States & you want to become citizen of another country! Can you still get your citizenship back?

Not if you denounce it, then you have to apply like anyone else

@ECHO22: won't that be weird that if you are born in United States & give it up. You are treated like a immigrant? But some Americans don't appreciate their citizenship because they are born a citizen
Yeah, unless people travel or live outside of the US for awhile, they don't understand how good we really to have it compared to some other countries

I lived in the UK for 11 years and miss it sometimes, but; ultimately I love living here in the US

@ECHO22: do you think Venezuela use to be a very happy country. Before Chavez took over. Now the president of Venezuela is lot worse
From what I remember when I was younger it used to be a good & respected country

@ECHO22: well I don't like Venezuela is now. It's so sad it has all potential to have amazing economy with their oil. Also it's way to socialist. Venezuela should not be a poor country. But people like Hugo Chavez & Nickolas maduró have ruin the country. The Venezuelan people deserve better! 🇻🇪
