PC really?

i'd like to know when common decency, compassion and treating others as you want to be treated became being too pc. i agree that some pc is overdone and not needed but it seems like those decrying the world as too pc just want it to be ok to be hateful to people.

Political correctness is thought control, it's forcing people to be and think a certain way. The motives no longer matter at that point because you've reached the point of oppression.

And that's assuming the motives were good to begin with. Which doesn't match reality.

well it has been called pc here in sw which is why i made the post. if you read it you will see. i asked when common decency, compassion and treating people how you would like to be treated became too pc. it was not a referendum on pc, it was a referendum on being kind and sensitive to the needs of other.s, so don't try to hijack or deflect. it won't work with me.

@ladycae: No. You don't get to intentionally water down the definition of political correctness to something innocent and friendly and then accuse those of not playing along with deflecting or hijacking.
