They are all too lefty
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: On the contrary, we have left and right wing parties. And middle ground, liberal ones too.

@Gauntlets28 He is being consistent though. There is a section of US Conservatives who think Genghis Khan and Attila The Hun were woolly liberals.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Burnley123: No those were just insane dictators
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Burnley123: Yes.....that explains how Mr.Tango man got elected i suspect !
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: Hey, you might not believe that, but there's definitely people out there that do think that. And I've gotta say, your politial system is a bit...unbalanced... I mean you've only got two political parties, and they're both right wing.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Gauntlets28: Really. Obama/Warren are pretty left of left.
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: I'd say they're more centre-right. Liberal democrat territory to use UK terms. I'm more saying that you've not got an actual left wing party of any kind.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Gauntlets28: which is why I said your parties are all lefties
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: But we have right wing AND left wing parties. Whereas you only have centre to right wing, is what I'm saying. There's a whole section of society that doesn't get represented, which is why people say stuff like Donald Trump's election is a reaction by people feeling "left behind".
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Gauntlets28: trump isn't a right wing in any sense
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: Well he's kind of a mix, I think. He acts like a right wing person, but he was elected by promising a lot of left wing policies like supporting industry. But the point is that he was voted in by people who didn't feel represented by the two major parties, because those parties are basically identical and Washington doesn't have much diversity of political opinion, I think. You know what I mean?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Gauntlets28: I do know what you mean but I disagree.
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: I guess you'd probably know better given that you live there and all. I do think having a broad range of parties is good for democracy though. Even the crazies should get a party, even if only to keep them away from the sane people parties.
Gauntlets28 · 26-30, M
@MasterLee: It's nice to talk about this sort of stuff with someone who's not rabid for once by the way, so you know.
