I'm out canvassing for the UK Labour Party Tomorrow.

This means knocking on doors and asking people to vote Labour. This also means the general public of east London have to listen to my political opinions instead of you horrible lot. 😜

Is political canvassing frequent in the UK? Not here in Spain. I think those canvassing would get a lot of foul words from the public.
I don't think it makes much sense in the internet era, to be honest. Anyone can find the proposals of different parties in their websites.

@Cierzo: You would think so but according to studies canvassing does work. Its where Labour has an advantage as well. We have a lot more members but the Tories have nearly the entire media on their side.

If I knocked on your door, I would persuade you to vote for Podemos. ;-)

@Burnley123: We would have a nice talk and a few beers, but I think you would not get a vote for them 😄

@Cierzo: I like the idea of the San Miguel though. :-)

@Burnley123: There are better beers than San Miguel. It has a better reputation than it deserves. Like Podemos among the left 😄

@Cierzo: Rajoy is like stale ale. He never changes no matter how many people he poisons. Aren't you supposed to see him as a 'globalist' anyway?
Cierzo · M
@Burnley123: Rajoy is an idiot who is up to the neck in corruption and unable to have an opinion of his own. Not even stale ale, more like pee.

@Cierzo: LMFAO. If you mind me asking, who do you actually vote for then. There are four parties that I know of but none of them seem to match your politics.
Cierzo · M
@Burnley123: I have not voted in national elections in the last ten years or so.

@Cierzo: Wow. Maybe I can persuade you to vote Podemos after all. 😜

@AlanPartridge: There too? The ruling party in Spain does it.

@Burnley123: I agree with Podemos in their views on foreign politicd. I don't have any problem with Chavez. If you are able to make me forget if their opinions on immigration and feminism and LGBT rights, maybe you can ☺

@Cierzo: Trouble is that I agree with them on those things too. :-)
Cierzo · M
@Burnley123: I know. That's why I may agree more with an old-school communist that regarded all that stuff as bourgeois deviations.
The agreement ends there. I don't believe in Marxism.

@Cierzo: I get it. I am a Gramscian so Podemos are a perfect fit for me.
