If Donald Trump were British, how long would he be in power?

We don't have terms here. You can be in power for as many times as you're voted in after every 5 years. Well, assuming you're still the leader of your party

We don't have a president here. I'm not really a fan of the monarchy but looking at Trump our Royal Family definitely seem like the best choice!

(Our Prime Minister is elected to be leader of their party by the political party not by the general public. The public vote for the party.)

5 years if he got elected. We have fixed term parliaments. Of course his own party could boot him.

Oh I can promise you it wouldn't be that long
8 years.... he's done more in 100 days than you know who did in 8 yrs..
finally a real man in the white house

He would never get into power, not without a long commitment to a party.

If he was in power in Britain, it would be even more difficult to remove him because there are less checks and balances to executive power. Obviously people would not vote for him in the first place though.

Ever heard of BREXIT? You libs just aren't getting the message..
No more entitled token presidents....
You really don't need to be a Liberal to wonder why such an infantile man is leading such a large country. I have many NON liberal friends and they all feel the same.

Not in a cat in hells chance that that nutter would have won an election in Britain. We're far from perfect but we have enough voters with enough basic intelligence to prevent that happening.
Leggylawyer · 36-40, F
I don't think we would have been stupid enough to elect him

We voted in Cameron, and now look at the mess we are in.

you don't vote in the prime minister you vote in the party and the party decide the leader- so he has until someone stabs him in the back or front if he's hated enough

He would never be in power in Britain, we aren't stupid
I honestly don't know. Would he ever have become Prime Minister ? I understand his contemporary there is Boris Johnson.
AlphaPuppy · 26-30, M
Boris is not like trump other than in appearance, Boris is fun, trump is evil
katielass · F
That would depend on what percentage of the population is as stupid as some of them on here seem.

He would never get in power in Britain, much as Thereasa May would never get in power in America. Unfortunately both countries are stuck with them and they are both crap.
