When Trump calls something fake is it safe to assume that it's actually true ?

This is not a reliable algorithm. I believe that most of the stuff he tweets about is either lies, or exaggerations (I subscribe to his twitter feed), but his statements are rarely binary.

I believe this is by design, as it gives him, and his supporters, an out, or a way to provide an alternative explanation.

PS: The Trump trolls, on SW, taking the lead from Trump and his enablers, will drop their red herrings into this conversation. "what about Hillary", "look, shiny object over there", you know anything to avoid addressing the actual topic brought up in the post. I've been trying to stick to the following strategy: remain on topic, and remind them that their red herrings will not work. They will eventually get pissed off and leave. They win if you respond to their diversions.

I agree. His tweets and most of his comments are re is always wiggle room.
