Do cops get annoyed at people thanking them for not giving a ticket?

They constantly sacrifice their life to improve everyone else's and the only time they're thanked or labeled a "cool cop" is when they let someone off without a ticket.

They're constantly disrespected by the public and literally yelled at by their higher ups, and trained to ignore it.
