RIP Martin McGuiness

Seen a lot of vile comments after the news of his passing. Yes he was an IRA man and whether you look at them as terrorists or freedom fighters he played a big part in having peace in Northern Ireland. He was the one who encouraged the IRA to accept peace and tried to serve his people well as Deputy First Minister.

To get a measure of the man look no further than to what he said when people in Derry were celebrating Thatcher's passing ; "The death of any person should never be a cause for celebration."

Was Thatcher really a person though?😂 More of a comic villain.

@thatscottishguy: Well she ended up becoming something of a caricature but her role in the deaths of the hunger strikers was certainly no laughing matter.

Not to mention the handling of the miners and Hillsborough.

@thatscottishguy: Gerry Addams is just about to speak if you put the news on.

Would watch it but busy watching the Scottish Tories and Labour hold hands.
