IS abortion wrong? In response to Zonuss:

You'll never convince anyone that abortion is wrong unless you can convince them that it is murder and you'll never convince them it's murder if you can't convince them it's a person.

Agreed but while I'm pro-choice, always have been, I recognize it's a human being. It sure as hell isn't a frog.
MetalGreymon · 36-40, M
It's genetically human. Not really the same thing as a person though.
A chimpanzee has more humanity than even an actual born baby
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
My only issue is if the mother doesn't want the baby (no health issues or danger) and the father does. Why does she get to abort the kid instead of him getting the kid if she doesn't want the kid?

@UnparalleledMonster: What's the point of having child abuse laws when a Chimp has more "humanity" than an actual born baby if that's the case? We didn't even recognize animal abuse as a federal crime until about a few years ago. If actual born babies are lower in humanity than animals that is.

@UnparalleledMonster: True but I see it as a particular stage in the life cycle. We aren't really fully developed until into adulthood.

The comments you guys made are confusing separately and collectively. Please clarify.

Not sure "adulthood" had developed me lol.

I don't really get it either. I was asking if morally why would we need child abuse laws then if actual BORN babies are lesser in humanity than animals.

@satanburger:

Maybe there was a typo?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Jackjjacksonjr: Maybe? It seems very oddly specific about who has more humanity though :) but it could have been typed wrong. Who knows.

@Jackjjacksonjr: You're A-Ok Jack. Whatever age you are. I hope I never lose my silliness. Yes, there;s a time and place but life without laughter would not be one worth living.

@katielass:

Thanks ma'am I think 😀

@Jackjjacksonjr: Yes, it was a compliment.

I'd say you're coming at it from the wrong angle.
Why don't we have more laws protecting the great apes?
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@UnparalleledMonster: That's sort of deflecting. Your statement specifically was that babies have less humanity than chimps.
MetalGreymon · 36-40, M
@satanburger:

It's not deflecting. Just because a chimp has more "humanity" doesn't mean a child has none or isn't a person.
I was pointing out that chimps and other great apes ought to have more protection as people
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@UnparalleledMonster: I agree. Animal abuse laws just became a felony a few years ago but it's not implemented in the least. Irony since studies shows that a large portion of people (I forgot the percent but it was like over half) ranging from minor things like petty theft to more extreme cases in jail also have animal abuse records. I don't trust people who don't like animals. I think that's a sign of an asshole.
MetalGreymon · 36-40, M
@satanburger:

Yeah it definitely appears to correlate to being a cock in other aspects of life

Both Mrs Warren and Mrs Clinton detest animals.
