Donald Trump has said he has “tremendous respect for women” in a series of tweets to mark International Women’s Day.

“I have tremendous respect for women and the many roles they serve that are vital to the fabric of our society and our economy.”

It is the stupid PC thing any leader is expected to say today.

If he had not said it, he would have been accused for being disrespectful towards women for not saying anything about International Women's Day.

If he had not said it , he wouldn't have opened himself up to so much ridicule and charges of hypocrisy. It seems he can't open his mouth without putting his foot in it
