How many of you folks who hate islam and muslims have ever had a muslim friend? Ever been to a mosque and talked to the people?

How many of you actually arrived at your hate by interacting with the people and not by buying in to what you read on the internet and the extremist groups you hear about on the news?

Just curious.

I question the same thing everyday. That's why when people ask me about my faith, i'm open to answer. I'm open to show people what being a muslim really is, how being a muslim isn't confined to one type, theres muslims of different cultures, different races, different sects, we're not all the same, and not even 10% heck even 5% are like those extremist that are slammed on the news on a daily. Showing people what kind of person you are while living in a world where your identity is constantly demonised makes you doubt yourself. As long as people try and surpass their ignorance and actually talk to those they hold prejudice assumptions about, then the more we can learn to understand and learn differences.

Well i think that's just what people need to see. People who are willing to educate the ignorant.
It's gotta be hard to be associated with that kind of thing.

@UnparalleledMonster: Yeah, it does but i like to think that there's more people out there who aren't ignorant to this extent.
