I Like Politics

I remember the high dungeon that led to the resignation of Richard Nixon. Spies had tried to infiltrate the DNC and thanks to a bungled burglary were caught red handed. The shame. The shame.

So in the last election the sitting president asked for authorization to spy on the Trump campaign. The request was refused so he asked again on a more limited scale and received permission and proceeded to spy on the Trump campaign.

Nixon spying = BAD

Obama spying = good

Can you see a difference?

OK, now I understand the president's twitter tantrum, this morning.

Here"s a bit of real: a president cannot order a wiretap.

Obama didn't order he asked for 'permission'. Well if you are an Obama appointee and fellow traveler like so many in the bureaucracy are then granting permission is simply a euphemism for ordering a wiretap. The fact is that the Obama administration wiretapped Trump's campaign. Niceties and legalities aside it is time to go after Obama.

@hippyjoe1955: "the fact" is that no one shared any facts. I will wait until the facts are known. Why are you doing up so early here? Shouldn't you be harrasing some minorotoes?

@Northwest: I remember the reading the results of the wire taps regarding Trump's dealings with Russian banks months ago. What other information did they gather that was never published. While it might have been 'legal' it was also highly irregular and extremely unethical. That being said the legality of the actions are yet to be determined in a court of law.

@hippyjoe1955: so, no facts. Glad you concur. Apparently this is not the biggest issue this morning. Right after that initial tirade, the president tweeted that Arnold did Not quit the apprentice, he was fired. So, now the nation can shift its attention to that
