Gang of nine leakers headed to jail

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) said Tuesday that those who leaked the contents of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s phone calls “belong in jail.” “That’s nine leakers that all belong in jail,” Nunes said.
“Those nine people broke the law, clearly, by leaking classified information to anybody.”

Never mind the content of the actual leaks. If anyone belongs in prison, it's Flynn, when he broke the law by colluding with a foreign government with foreign policy as a private citizen.

It honestly mystifies me when people attempt to criminalize whistleblowers. Like I can understand demonizing them to some extent, they disagree with your opinion so you're probably not gonna like that very much, but if you're so adamant about law enforcement then why focus solely on the whistleblower and not also on what they revealed?

People are strange.

He ended up with a promotion. How about that?

@lacsar: My only response is what Flynn did is highly treasonous and should be prosecuted as such.

Stop advocating for breaking the law.

@lacsar: Absolutely. The brilliant work of a patriot.

@UndeadPrivateer: Agreed. It's like people don't think the law or rules don't apply to them when they break it or something.

@ExploringThoughts: the Obama administration prosecuted more whistleblowers than any administration ever.

@lacsar: Then your logic can easily be applied to any whistleblower...
ExploringThoughts · 36-40, M
@Jackjjacksonjr: And that point is DEFINITELY true, and a really horrible stain on the Obama administration.

@lacsar: can't wait to see the response to this one lol.

@ExploringThoughts: that wasn't reports on CNN or MSNBC. What a shock.

@Jackjjacksonjr: I'm not interested in defending any mainstream news organization, so don't think just because I disagree with your point that automatically means that I agree with others in the wrong. I would never advocate prison time for someone who whistleblows wrongdoing in any administration.

My point is that Flynn broke the law. He should be prosecuted for doing such, along with anyone that knowingly kept this a secret.

@ExploringThoughts: I have no problem with Flynn and the gang of nine getting a fair trial.

Flynn broke no law.

@lacsar: I don't think Russia needed to be told to ignore obama's childish behavior. I'm pretty sure I could hear Putin laughing all the way from Russia.

@UndeadPrivateer: What whistleblowers? none in this case. Whistle blowers go through a process and evidence is presented. None here, just an attempt to thwart the new president's agenda by holdover anti-American obamaites
