I actually think Donald Trump is going to prove a lot of people wrong...

...but sadly not George Orwell, Margaret Atwood, or whoever wrote the Book of Revelation.

Britain is already passed Orwellian, as is Sweden and Germany. Thank God for Trump to save us from the communists dictators.

When you put a man in prison for leaving bacon at a mosque, and the judge calls it "an attack on England," but you turn a blind eye to child rape because the rapists are Muslims, you have a double standard.

When you arrest a politician for quoting Churchill, that's Orwellian. When you can call the police and have a woman investigated because she asked another woman how long she'd been overweight, that's Orwellian. I could go on and on with examples, but you know very well that Britain is now a totalitarian regime. An Islamofacist country.

In America, we still have free speech, though you and your comrades prefer censorship of diverging opinions. You may like your communistic Britain, but we don't want it here, thank you very much. We value freedom and liberty, although the Marxists are fighting like hell to make us like Europe.

Your PC has destroyed a country I loved, a country I don't recognize anymore.

Thank God for Trump and hopefully liberty and free speech can be saved. America can be saved from becoming another "animal farm."

Btw people; Brietbart News does have a London Edition. Just thought I'd get that out there.

After 35 years of Thatcherite led economics we are communist. After decades of change on progressive social values we are Islamofascist. Pffffffffffff

Sorry for taking the piss but can you provide evidence for any of that BS so I have somewhere to start as way of criticism? That tsunami of alternative facts is a bit overwhelming.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
@Burnley123: The fact that you call it BS means I shouldn't waste my time with sources, but I'll post one. However, I'm sure you have heard of the Rotherham rape gang. It's all over your news. You must know about the man killed in prison...the one who left the bacon sandwich at a mosque, and the judge called it "an attack on England."

If you don't know about these, ( and there are many more), you don't keep up with current events.

I'll see if I can find the video of the arrest of the politician.

@Carissimi:
Rotherham rape gang.
Seven years a go group of 7 men were convicted of rape and they happened to be Muslim. The British Pakistani community have condemned the perpetrators and the police cover up.
You must know about the man killed in prison...the one who left the bacon sandwich at a mosque,
-Kevin Crehan, 35, was jailed along with three others in July this year after the gang left rashers of bacon on door handles of the Jamia Mosque in Totterdown, Bristol.

Crehan, Alison Bennett, 46, and Mark Bennett, 48, and Angelina Swales, 31, admitted hurling racial abuse at a member of the mosque and leaving a St George’s flag tied to a fence nearby.

Images posted on Facebook showed bacon sandwiches left outside the place of worship.

That is utterly horrible behaviour and it is not part of a Britain that I want to live in. Maybe the Britain you would like to visit is a place where far-right racist bullies are seen as victims.
When you arrest a politician for quoting Churchill
‘No Stronger Retrograde Force Exists in the World’ Than Islam - Winston Churchill.

A UKIP politician quoted that on a provocative march in front on Muslims

I just thought I'd do that to provide some context to what you omitted either by accident or design. These are examples of people being punished for racist behaviour and hate speech against a minority religion. This is not a fascist state that does that.

Now I actually disagree with the British rules on this and I am something of an arch-libertarian on freedom of speech. I support the US First Ammendment and would do away with laws in the UK which prohibit certain religious criticism. I even posted on here saying Milo should be allowed to speak. I think of this in the same way that US Conservative Libertarians must view the burning of the US flag; I hate it but its free speech.

None of this is to say that Britain is 'Islamofascist' or 'Communist'. That is ridiculous. All this shows is that you believe everything in Brietbart and never check your sources.

@NearMiss: Oh wow. You stridently defend your position on the grounds of free speech but people 'can't be allowed' to disagree.

@NearMiss: Read the full extent of what they did and tell me it wasn't racist bullying. Personally I would have just fined them and given them a restraining order. Now please answer my question.

Trump said that people should be jailed for burning the Us flag. Do you agree?

@NearMiss: Libertarianism actually has its origins on the political left and was once another word for anarchism. I am no anarchist but I do take something from that. You also defend freedom of soeech, right? For the third time, would you jail people for burning the American flag?
Cierzo · M
It is so hypocrite that some talk about Orwell now when appalling news, like those about children being raped in Rotherham were virtually silenced by the news, when people have been prosecuted for opinions stated on twitter or facebook. Orwell has been alive and well for many years.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Cierzo: As someone who is very much against the MSI and gchq, I am tempted to agree. I have frequency criticised what I see as liberal authoritarianism. However, under trump it is going a stage further.
Cierzo · M
@Burnley123: Glad to see you admit liberal authoritarianism. There are many ways of being authoritarian. Trump-style is just one of them.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Cierzo: Its not much to admit given that I don't consider myself a liberal. Trump is worse
