Does anyone on here believe that the 'Bowling Green Massacre' happened?

And if not, does it not bother you that the POTUS is making things up?

It is easily verifiable that it didn't happen. Of course it bothers me that POTUS and his spokespeople are making this up, but it doesn't surprise me. He's trafficked in falsehoods his entire campaign, and now during his presidency. I have no doubt that it will continue.

I was wondering if any Trump supporters would defend it. It hasn't happened yet. Presumably many of them don't believe it then and are just ignoring the fact that their regime is telling barefaced lies.

@Burnley123: I'm sure there will be a few who defend it because they either believe it, or they explain it away as a simple misstatement by Conway. It of course is neither.
@Burnley123: Apparently Conway's calling her critics "haters" and saying she was jumped on simply because she "misspoke one word" according to the preview of the news here. Not sure which word she's going to claim that was---"massacre", maybe ? But yes, calling us "haters" is easier then saying "I was wrong" or "Oops, I made a mistake"...

@bijouxbroussard: This is actually an art in a sense. Its playing with people's psychology and what they want to believe. Literally anything can count as plausible deniability with this tactic because you can always backtrack and hide behind 'everything has bias', 'everyone makes mistakes' and 'all politicians lie' as tropes.

Part of my thinks that this is also meant to create cynicism and sew disillusionment. For example; you have a guy on here who denied that Sandy Hook happened and sees that as an alternative fact. If there are enough fake events then some people will start to question the legitimacy of real events and it all becomes a mess where nothing at all can be verified, goes the strategy. You can then pick which of the competing narratives that you wish to believe; i.e. the one which reinforces your world view.

Objective reality does exist and we have to defend it. I can't believe I am typing those words but it is relevant. Its important that people don't get fatigued countering bullshit because the facts are on our side and this does matter.
