Trump will not be (successfully) impeached. But his presidency will be severely handicapped when the new Congress is seated. The best thing about not impeaching him is that he will continue to be trump. He is his own worst enemy. He will continue to spew his lies and fairy tails and will probably insult every person on earth both living and dead.

Biggest concern is what he may do between now and January.

@Northwest Even if they don't want to hear it the messaging must be clear. Flood the oval office with actual good bills so that it's clear who's at fault when he'll veto them. It's mostly a battle of communication now and team blue notoriously struggle with it, at least the blue establishment. Let the progressives handle that. Get rid of people who at best are ineffective and at worst go to bed with Thiel and Kushner.
The problem with Hormuz is that not only Iran oil flows through there, but pretty much the entire region's. Also it doesn't matter who buys from where, if the global supply is short everyone pays more, as the price of the good rises due to demand. Even if your oil supply was 100% American, why would American companies sell you diesel for ≤$4.00/gallon when European countries would buy it at $8.00 not to run dry?

The Blue leadership is right and MAGA is a direct response to the pendulum swinging far left.
Oil is a universal market, ruled by stability, not supply availability in the USA. When the war is stopped, stability is restored and that's how big Blue starts delivering on election promises. Sending the extreme left to seek retribution is a failed strategy. Not why the people of Texas sent Abbott and Paxton packing.

@Northwest Accountability isn't retribution. Accountability means that those who breached the law have to face justice and respond to the law to the same extent every other citizen would.

@NudasPriest Unlikely. When the country voted him out in 2020, his only reaction was that it had to be election fraud. And I think he still believes that.
