Trump will not be (successfully) impeached. But his presidency will be severely handicapped when the new Congress is seated. The best thing about not impeaching him is that he will continue to be trump. He is his own worst enemy. He will continue to spew his lies and fairy tails and will probably insult every person on earth both living and dead.

Biggest concern is what he may do between now and January.
Second biggest concern is that establishment dens will drag their feet and refuse to hold him and the others accountable, resulting in a repeat of 2024. Schumer and Jeffries seem to have already hinted they want to go that direction. In fact there's a petition calling for both to resign

@Northwest No, sorry, I expressed myself badly. My point isn't that the democratic agenda is to let the precedent be set, but that "just sticking to it but refusing to hold people accountable " is inevitably going to lead there.
I know quite well that the Democratic party is a big tent coalition. The agenda of the party is the subset of ideas that all the members of that coalition agree upon, so logically, it couldn't be covering Trump's b*tt. It can still be that of some trojan horses, though.

- Stopping the war
- Limit the damage from data centers.
- Affordability.
The newcomers are not naive and they figured out what needs to be done to achieve this.
- Limit the centi-billionaires stranglehold
- Stop the Trump corruption machine
These are achievable 24-months goals. I'm sure there will be plenty of people waiting in line, to ask the next DOJ to bring people to justice, but there won't be a next DOJ, if everyone is bogged down.

@NudasPriest Unlikely. When the country voted him out in 2020, his only reaction was that it had to be election fraud. And I think he still believes that.
