SecDef Pete Hegseth may get impeached by the House in the next week or two. Yes, by a Republican-controlled House. But he's likely to survive a trial in the Senate.

Jennings said that if Hegseth's gonna go, it's better he go now because come January 3, the Senate will be in Democratic control and getting a nominee confirmed will become far more difficult than during the lame duck session.
