They are just keeping him there too. Crazy.

Per DOD Instruction 1325.06, Handling Dissident and Protest Activities Among Members of the Armed Forces, and Air Force Instruction 51-508, Political Activities, Free Speech and Freedom of Assembly of AF Personnel, service members are prohibited from participating in off-base demonstrations under any of the following circumstances: 1) they are on duty; 2) they are in a foreign country; 3) the activities constitute a breach of law and order (for example, local curfew violations, active participation in organizations that advocate or espouse supremacist, extremist or criminal gang doctrine, ideology or causes); 4) where violence is likely to result; and 5) in uniform.

Military members who fail to adhere to these requirements are subject to punishment under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, with a maximum sentence of dishonorable discharge, two years of confinement and total forfeitures of all pay and allowances. Additionally, failure to obey local, state or federal law subjects military members to UCMJ action or civilian criminal liability with follow-on adverse administrative action by the Air Force that could result in a discharge under other than honorable conditions.

@Mrnotsonew Your own quote...
First of all he is not a soldier, that is the army. Air Force we are airman. Second he can protest and call for impeachment all he wants in civilian clothes, not in uniform.

And he is a major! Not an airman!

@DeWayfarer I was correcting her calling him a soldier. I was telling her he is an Airman.

It is not even the UCMJ that prohibits it, it is punishable under the UCMJ.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Mrnotsonew I repeat. He is not an Airman. He is an officer. A major at that.

Someone that the oath most applies to. A decision maker.

The UCMJ needs to be changed.

I'll bring this up again.

This is totally about the USA constitution. It's not about the UCMJ in any way.

You simply can not a abrogate a constitutional right by signing that right away in ANY contract. In Uniform or not.

In fact you are REQUIRED to sign an oath to defend the constitution.

Every military person knows this. Or SHOULD know this. It's apart of their swearing in! An oath! Separate from any contract.

How many orders did you disobey?
Mrnotsonew · 100+, M
@DeWayfarer you are held to a different standard in uniform than a civilian.

I proud wore my uniform 21 years and would never do anything to disrespect it.

I would just rather you say thank you for defending your right to protest.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Mrnotsonew I don't care! It's morally against the constitution.

And you are required to defend it. You even signed an oath to defend the constitution. Or don't you remember that? I sure do.
