Truck drivers react to dyed diesel restrictions being lifted

[media=https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9u-rYwTTPds&pp=ugUEEgJlbg%3D%3D]

President Trump is trying to make costs better for truck drivers. He signed an executive order allowing off road dyed diesel to be used on the roadways. Dallas News Live's Steven Dial talked to North Texas truck driver Joel Rifkin, who transports horses. He said he's spending up to $3,000 per day per truck. He's worried the order won't provide enough relief.

My comments:

tRUMP and Abbott are only fooling themselves.

Why didn't they simply give a tax rebate to bona-fide commercial users?

It can be audited, is administratively fairly easy to change or remove in future, and will avoid potential problems of proof for the owner of vehicles with red-dyed fuel-systems.

Off-road fuel with a lower Duty rate is similarly dyed red for use here in the UK, but the road-legal fuel is not coloured.

@ArishMell Once again you mistake Trump for a rational human being. No doubt the signing if the Order with his big, black crayon was televised and he tried to look serious when he did it.

It's a tax cut. So I guess the Republicans will have to tax millionaires and billionaires more to make up for it. Right?

Wrong, it will just be added to the deficit.

Trump is trying to buy votes, nothing more, The idea that he gives a damn about truck drivers or their costs is BS. Plus, if it wasn't for his insane attack on Iran we wouldn't have a diesel shortage in the first place. Thank Operation Epstein for gas and fuel prices skyrocketing.
