A rather cute discussion

Britian's Rees Mogg was talking to America's Tucker Carlson and rather summarily dismissed Tucher's contention the Russia has actual elections. Rees Mogg calmly explained that at least Britian was a democracy. In the mean while Ian Proud former British diplomat was 'detained' at Heathrow upon his arrival from Moscow. Ian had gone to Moscow to an accademic conference. So about the democracy Mr Rees Mogg.....

Ah, but why was Mr. Proud 'detained'? It won't have been simply for going to Moscow, however unwise that may be.

Russia does have "actual elections". It's just that they are all one-party, one President.

@ArishMell So you only listen to the British press? Really. Actually Russia had 10 parties in the last election. Britain on the other hand had one. It didn't matter who 'won' the die had been cast. The same is true in Canada and the US. They all have the same outcome just some want to get there sooner than others. In a true demcracy you are free to come and go as you please unless and until you are actively seeking the destruction of your own nation. Going to an academic conference in Russia is hardly symptomatic of that.
