I live in the panhandle and heard about that one.
The cop was convicted and will be doing some time.
The prosecutors have to go back on every one of his cases to review them.
I think I heard it would cost millions, not to mention the damage to people that caught felony convictions

When Deputy Zach Wester was arrested in 2019 for allegedly planting meth on unsuspecting motorists, prosecutors acknowledged they were unsure how many people he may have victimized.
The State Attorney's Office for the 14th Judicial Circuit reviewed 300 cases involving the Jackson County deputy, dropping charges in nearly 120 of them.
After a lengthy investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, prosecutors charged Wester for crimes involving 12 of his alleged victims. The counts, 67 in all, range from racketeering to falsifying evidence. He was convicted in May 2021 of multiple crimes and sentenced to 12 1/2 years in prison.

What happened to Teresa Odem:
She was arrested for possession of meth and paraphernalia, later pleaded no contest and was sentenced to four years of probation. Her sentence was later vacated and charges dropped amid the Wester probe.
Odom’s stop proved fateful for the deputy. Footage of the 18-minute encounter showed him holding what appeared to be a small baggie in his left hand before he started the search.
Then-State Attorney Glenn Hess told the Democrat in September 2018 that he lost confidence in Wester after seeing the video.
Odom wept during a news conference in July 2019 announcing Wester's arrest. "I'm overwhelmed," she said.
