I'm still not really holding my breath for that to happen but at the same time it does indicate where people's minds are going. It's obvious that red Texas isn't working as some of trump's policies have hurt rural americans.
I'm really hoping blue can take it. It makes more sense anyways because some democrats are blue collar workers too like with unions. It never made sense to me why farmers and the like go conservative when conservatives value big corporations, it's really not benefiting them as much as they think it would.

A good deal of conservatism has to do with social values. And when you have those social values, like sticks with like.
Change is bad for conservatives. Change is not bad for Democrats.
That is a primary issue. Not the only issue though.
Change is what makes liberals liberal.
Lack of change is what makes conservatives conserve.
When conservatives say you are a radical. That being radical is the cause of change.
