@sree251 yes, i see it as a derogatory phrase as in old folks home. Most seniors i know would find it such. The subject of funding social security is somewhat difficultt to discuss. The government has bern borrowing from its trust fund for decades. We need more workers to keep it a float. With the decine in birth rate, immigration could really help.

Well, I use that term "old folks" with a sense of affection because I saw my grandparents as such.
The government has no business touching social security. It would be like a no good son touching your savings account and telling you that he would pay you back. You would need to kick his butt, tell him that you would shoot him dead like the scoundrel that he is, with your hog hunting gun.
