The US established an ambassadorship to the North Pole in August of 2022. How does that work? the North Pole is located on international ice in the Arctic Ocean and has no sovereign government or permanent population.

An item on the news: we appointed an Ambassador to the North Pole, Julia Nesheiwat. She's married to Mike Waltz, our UN Ambassador.

I had no idea this post existed. Does the Ambassador liaise with Santa? Will be asking for assistance for the Santa gift drive? Will she take the fall if kids get only 2 toys instead of 5?
