@Bumbles No.......being a racist homophobe is a qualification to be a Republican.......either doing it themselves or covering it up if another one of them does it.........like for instance a Republican president. But being a racist homophobe is not necessary to be a Miss America candidate.

I would say yes it matters to a degree.
Racist or not they should make sure to keep Trump away from her since he has said himself he cannot control himself from molesting pageant contestants.

@sree251 It matters because like it or not pageant contestants are role models to people. Whether we like that or not is a seperate conversation.
