The IGNORANT COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF

Trump says US has "massive amounts" of munitions following reports of depleted stockpile

CNN REPORTS:

“ President Donald Trump claimed in the early hours of Thursday morning the United States has “massive amounts” of munitions, following reports from various media, including CNN, on the Pentagon’s depleted stockpile.

“The U.S. has massive amounts of ‘munitions,’ especially of certain types. Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed,” Trump posted on Truth Social overnight. He did not specify which munitions he was referring to.
“Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history,” he added.

On Tuesday, CNN reported that the US military had exhausted nearly 80% of its interceptors for its key THAAD missile defense system, and that senior US military commanders had warned that the Pentagon’s munitions stockpile is “dangerously low,” according to multiple sources.”

My comments:

Demented Donnie & Kegsbreath are incapable of fulfilling their roles as leading our nation’s armed forces.

First and foremost, this war is both illegal and unnecessary. America will eventually emerge from it weaker, in deep debt, and having lost our standing in the world order. The responsibility for those failures rests squarely on Demented Donald Trump & Drunken, Paranoid Pete Hegseth.

You do not fire almost your entire Corp of Senior Military Leaders at the start of a war. You do not launch said war with a sneak attack while pretending to negotiate with your perceived enemies, and you do not lie about large numbers of civilian casualties that you caused through your reckless, poor planning and falsely blame them on your victims. You do not then call on your historic allies to support you in your illegal war of aggression after you had not even informed them ahead of time and expect them to join you in your infamy.

When your leaders warn you of your repeated failures and your collapsing logistics, you do not deny the obvious and undeniable facts—that your “planning” was not based on accurate, reliable intelligence but rather your own ignorance and misjudgment.

And you do not fail to learn from your mistakes, you do not try to shift blame for your poor decisions, you do not try to cover up your casualties because YOUR DECEPTIONS WILL QUICKLY BE DISCOVERED AND YOUR ALREADY POOR CREDIBILITY will come back to haunt you and your troops will see with their own eyes that their “leadership” is dangerously incompetent.

I wonder what the C-in-C is actually being told by those who are supposed to keep him properly informed. Though it is his responsibility to ensure the quality and probity of his political lieutenants, and to question them closely when he suspects evasion or concealement.

His Truth Social posts are revealing, and unintentionally so:

- Saying the nation is importing huge amounts of munitions (what and from whom?) admits the huge shortage otherwise being denied. Even if the manufacturers might be overseas branches of American companies.

- The USA's defence industry may indeed be expanding but the present tense comment about new factories show they won't be able to supply anything for perhaps months yet.

A heavily-armed nation's government needs not only its uniformed Top Brass. It also needs a proper, competent civil-service to liaise between government, military and defence-industry, to direct R&D, and to support the Services more directly; the last from store-keepers and pay-clerks upwards. How many capable researchers and administrators have been lost to cost-cutting purges?
@ArishMell 1. None of Demented Donnie’s claims are based on actual evidence.

2. Demented Donnie doesn’t really take advice or even listen to anyone who doesn’t simply parrot his delusions back to him. Have you not seen his “cabinet meetings” where they just go around the room and tell him how wonderful he is, what a great job he is doing, how awful everything was before him, and how overwhelmingly popular he is with all Americans?

3. When things actually reach a crisis point, his staff goes into the Situation Room without him and tries to figure out how to defuse his latest messes without him finding out and blowing his top.

4. In other words, his misadministration is not only incompetent, dishonest, and criminal; they are (first and foremost) absurdly dysfunctional.

The Jerusalem Post reports that Trump found out about the shortage, during the Cabinet meeting at Camp David, and blew a gasket. Hegseth was keeping him in the dark. That's what happens when you get a Fox News weekend host to play GI.
