"Diet Republican" stopped being relevant 20 to 30 years ago.
And being a fence sitter also tends to signal that you don't stand for anything.
Just splitting the difference between two ideological positions is not an ideology.
And with things like genocide there is no moral middle position. Only right and wrong.
And with Carville who is supposed to be a political strategist and being wrong about every election since 2008 also just makes him incompetent at his job too.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Genocide is a ridiculous example. There are many "values" that politicians run on to get elected. As I've started to mention on other posts - we need skillful people that can make good decisions in office - and they have to do what's best and moral - and morals are not owned by either political party's hyperbole...

And this has nothing to do with parties.
You don't even have a basic grasp of concepts like ideology and platforms and already see it as a sporting event with two teams.
And again centrism is definitionally not moderate and often is a very extreme position to take because historically centrism has lead to just a slower "boiling frog" approach to exactly the same extremes as the far right. That is literally why we are back to where we were in the 1930s because definitionally "the middle" is always a step to the right.
The idea that centrism is enlightened a "reasonable" position is based entirely on ideology and often contrary to objective fact.
