Let’s start with Demented Donnie. I never heard him mention (defame) Davey Hearn specifically just using the term “vandals” but he was the initial person publicly making claims to vandals damaging the pool with “knives, box cutters, sharp tools” making gashes which originally he said were 100 - 250 feet in length, which morphed into 300 feet, and then to 300 YARDS. The public, false, hyperbolic narrative started with him.
Pirro was the one who repeatedly, publicly, falsely and prejudicially named Davey Hearn so she is clearly guilty of defamation. What did she tell the Grand Jury? We need to know because she almost certainly (and not for the first time) misrepresented the case to the Grand Jury members as she has in previous Grand Juries.
Burgum also parroted the fabricated narrative but in what I heard him say he never mentioned Davey Hearn by name so he did not directly defame him although he certainly implied support of Pirro’s defamatory statements and false statements.
Along the course of this sordid saga, the tRUMP misadministration appeared to engage in SPOILATION OF EVIDENCE to obstruct the defense of Mr. Hearn.
Lastly we have the way Demented Donnie’s DO(in)J moved to dismiss the charges. Pirro took aim at the Department of the Interior and perhaps without even realizing it, tRUMP himself. By seeking to deflection blame for her own amateurish faux pas she cast blame on other Departments in tRUMP’s misadministration. And we cannot forget that Demented Donnie had a whole damn MOTOCADE literally parade over the liner perhaps before it had even finished drying.
Since tRUMP’s inauguration in January 2025 there have been innumerable public demonstrations of their incompetence, corruption, dishonesty, and disregard for the law. Yet this sad affair really takes the cake!. Others have been more serious such as RFK, Jr’s mishandling of the Texas measles outbreak, Duffy’s air disasters, Kegsbreath’s SIGNALGate, TOAD BLANCHE’s mishandling of the Epstein files, the FBI having to extract KRASH Patel from his office in a drunken stupor, Demented Donnie’s repeated defamations of E. Jean Carroll while trying to defy the courts and not pay her the award he owed her, Homan accepting a $50,000 bribe in an FBI sting… The examples of their incompetence are almost as numerous as Demented Donnie’s litany of lies!
So far, an ethics complaint has been filed against Pirro in NY state where she holds a legal license.
It was submitted to the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Supreme Court of the State of New York, citing potential ethical breaches regarding managerial conduct, prosecutorial responsibilities, and public statements made concerning ongoing criminal cases and defendants.
According to AI, if the complaint is sustained, "potential professional discipline can include a private or public censure, a suspension of her law license, or complete disbarment."
I don't know if any ethics complaints have been filed against any other tRump DOJ lawyers in this case. Certainly Pirro made the most egregious false public statements about the case, but it sounds like key exculpatory material was withheld from the grand jury that returned the felony indictment.
@ElwoodBlues The transcript of that Grand Jury must be examined with a fine toothed comb and an investigation made as to whether she had contact with any of the jurors outside of the official Grand Jury process.
This is not the first time she has been accused of not following proper, well defined procedures. Let’s make sure it is the last time. And the same goes for ALL of Demented Donnie’s DO(in)J cereal box top law school grad lawyers.

So while Pirro clearly is culpable and at highest risk, her last minute attempt to bail out has significantly increased the peril for Trump & Burgum face.
Let’s start with Burgum: As Secretary of the Department of the Interior, the initial investigation which Pirro claims to have used as her basis for her indictment and which she briefed the Grand Jury from was compiled by his department. Presumably, sometime between the release of that initial investigation and Pirro’s attempt to have the charges dismissed, Burgum appeared on news services parroting the same claims (and in the very same words) as Pirro used to defame Davey Hearn quite publicly. I did not hear Burgum utter Hearn’s name, but it was clear that he was referring to Hearn in terms that he was absolutely guilty. IOW, he was 100% emphatically supporting Pirro’s slanderous and highly prejudicial remarks. Did the Grand Jury hear Burgum’s remarks?
While tRUMP will no doubt claim Presidential Immunity (does that “immunity” make clearly false & prejudicial statements “official Presidential Duties?” Does it matter whether tRUMP didn’t actually say Hearn’s name when he was responding to a question specific to Hearn?)
I would like to see the charges that we all know are coming be civil litigation rather than federal charges. No doubt when this goes to court, the tRUMP regime will attempt to get it moved to federal court and substitute “The Federal Government” as the defendant on the basis that Pirro and Burgum are federal employees and committed their crimes as part of their “official duties.”
But I am heartened by my belief that Norm Eisen has some great strategies about how to proceed and Burgum and especially Pirro should have plenty of sleepless nights ahead (though no doubt Pirro will spend hers in the bottom of a bottle!)
Thanks for putting that all together. I'm particularly glad to see trump and Pirro at odds in a very pubic way. I would love for her to speak up and tell the Country how trump has been forcing her and other officials in the DOJ to do his bidding. We all know he has weaponized the department against his perceived enemies. I would love for someone on the inside to tell all. If just one would do so the dam may break.
Incredibly, Burgum again doubled down on his discredited defamatory statements re: Davey Hearn. Amazingly, he has chosen to throw his own department under the us and jump to the defense (and endorses) the fraudulent remarks by Demented Donnie!
