$70 More Billions Needed for The War
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, appeared before the Senate Appropriations Committee to request about $70 billion more to fund the Iran war and replenish depleted weapons stocks. Mr. Hegseth said the latest estimate of the cost of the war was $37.5 billion, up from around $29 billion as of early May. General Caine spoke about the three U.S. soldiers killed over the weekend in Jordan and Iraq, asking that they not be forgotten.
Hegseth spent the time charming the Senate. I'm just fucking with you. He yelled and called Democrats cowards for asking for a plan, because the plan seems to be: we're going to keep bombing Iran, until they either tire of it, or we do.
We will do that, as part of a war of choice, where we will open a strait that was open to start with, and force Iran to commit to not produce nukes, something they already committed to 11 years ago.
Meanwhile US service men and women continue to die, in a war of choice.
