The U.S. is imposing additional 50% tariffs on a range of Canadian goods

Supposedly in response to alleged trade discrimination against multiple U.S. products and industries, senior Trump administration officials said today.

I liked it better when I could buy stuff in Canada and it felt like a bargain. Maple cookies, for instance.

Clearly no one in the US administration has managed to get through to Trump the law of diminishing returns on articles like tariffs. They generate funds at first. But the higher you push the tarrifs, the les people buy. and the revenue actually drops off. And lets not even pretend this is actually about trade. Its about generating taxes, tariffs by another name.😷

Alleged trade discrimination against US products? What about the smoke tariff? Would that be additional across all products?
