The Iranian regime’s supporters, particularly many on the political left, often accuse the opposing side in the war especially the Trump administration of being ped*ophiles referring to them as “Epsteinists” and making similar claims.
I find this ironic, considering that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which protects and upholds the regime, have themselves been accused of allowing and enabling child marriage and the sexual exploitation of minors during their rule .
Hypocrisy is exhausting . If you are against ped*ophila then be morally consistent and do not cherry pick who you criticise.
Iran definitely has a child marriage problem, especially in rural areas, although not as bad as India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Ironically, prior to 1979, the laws were more restrictive, but the prevalence was higher. The decline is probably due to increasing urbanization. Worldwide, child marriage rates have fallen due to urbanization, education of girls, legal reforms, economic development, and declining fertility.
Still, the laws on Iran's books are a bad look and the failure of the left to condemn this is troubling.

They didn't care about this story in 2008 and ignored and overlooked it while people like Bill Clinton, Alan Dershowitz, Chris Tucker or Bill Gates were implicated...
But once they got wind that Trump was "mentioned" how ever many times, they are using this story to try to get rid of Trump.
If Trump died tomorrow of natural causes, they wouldn't ever bring up Epstein again.
