I'm hearing fox news say that Bernie Sanders needs to apologize

I was like hell nah, Bernie don't need to apologize. Bernie told Platner to withdraw from the race. If anything fox news needs to apologize for spinningv stories 🙄

Trump is already defending Platner because, ya know, birds of a feather.

@BohoBabe I wonder if Fox will be as upset at Trump as they were with Bernie and try to demand an apology.
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
That's why no one outside the bubble believes anything Fox puts out. Bernie and just about everyone else said he should withdraw.

@MoveAlong Fox is also mad that Telemundo took over the games lmfao people are having a laugh about it because this year the channel drew in more audiences.

@SatanBurger Telemundo's Saturday night programs are... interesting.

AOC never endorsed Platner. It shows someone in the Democrat Party has brains.

"Rape is a real thing. If you're so worried about it to buy Kelvar underwear you think you might not get blacked out fucked up around people you aren't comfortable with."
- Graham Platner, on Reddit in 2013
(and reported by CNN, NBC News and the Washington Post in October 2025.)

Senator Bernie Sanders first endorsed Graham Platner for the U.S. Senate in August 2025.

And if a fucking Republican had said it? Sanders would have railed against the candidate not for misogyny, but for being backed by corporate interests.

Reminds me reading about the comment Texas Republican gubernatorial candidate Clayton Williams made in 1990: "Weather's like rape," he said. "If it's inevitable, just relax and enjoy it."

https://www.chicagotribune.com/1990/03/26/texas-candidate-says-rape-remark-was-insensitive/

Democrat Ann Richards Shish kebabed Williams over that remark, overcoming a 20 point deficit in the polls to win the general election.

Platner would have never stood a chance against Susan Collins in November. I could see the commercials:

"Democrat Graham Platner said he thinks women ought to wear Kelvar underwear if they are worried about getting raped."

But Bernie Bros had f*cking blinkers on as if no one reports the fire it won't grow.

shorts that prevent you from being raped

I like how the comments are predominantly male. By males, that I can assume, don't frequently worry about getting raped. Most rapes occur between people that know each other. A lot of rapes involve booze and drugs. This product isn't useless. Being a college student, around a thriving party scene, I hear about a lot of horrible shit that goes down. Sometimes involving people whom are passed out.

Looka' here: http://www.rainn.org/get-information/statistics/sexual-assault-offenders

Generally speaking, if you know the person, they probably aren't crazed, psychopath murderers. Sometimes it's just the average joe you met who got a little handsy and won't take no for an answer.

There's always that story about the girl who gets raped because she drank too much and somebody took advantage of that. Shouldn't she be allowed to drink as much as she wants, and fucking pass out in the floor, if she wants to, without having to worry about the well-being of her nether regions?

Who are you mother-fuckers to say that it's useless? Who are you to take away somebody's peace of mind?

Holy fuck, how about people just take some responsibility for themselves and not get so fucked up they wind up having sex with someone they don't mean to? Men and women, you make a choice to consume enough of a substance to lose your self control. So if you don't want to be in a comprising situation, act like an adult for fucks sake.

Rape is a real thing, if you're so worried about it to buy Kevlar underwear you'd think you might not get blacked out fucked up around people you aren't comfortable with.

@beckyromero Did Bernie know that he made that comment not everyone pays attention, I usually don't.

Sounds like something out of the Watergate hearings: "What did Bernie know and when did he know it?"

He's a prominent U.S. Senator who should have done some sort of vetting before he endorsed someone in a race in August 2025 that could tip the balance of the Senate.

And in any case, two months after he did, CNN, NBC News and the Washington Post reported the comments. But Sanders stuck to his endorsement!

It wasn't until Platner became burnt toast this month that Sanders dumped him.

That was completely irresponsible. Because if Sanders (and others) had withdrew their endorsement when the comments were widely reported, Platner would have been finished THEN. Giving Democrats plenty of time to find other candidates to compete in the primary.

What difference would an apology make from a sociopath make? That's like an apology from a house plant. It's questionable if hes even sentient.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Munumbis You know you're too far gone when you call Bernie a sociopath. Foreign and American maga are insane for this reason, you literally freak out if anyone besides trillionaires get help or whatever. You just think every social program is a plot to bring you down.

Get help lol
