Supreme Court Expands Presidential Power.
Just to be clear, the office of the US President has nothing to do with Donald Trump. Unfortunately, that office is the "Iron Man" suit that Trump has been given permission by the American people to wear.
When asked what limits his global powers and if there were any restrictions on his authority, Trump replied:
"Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It's the only thing that can stop me." He also added regarding international law: "I don't need international law."
As President, Trump is an anomaly who also has no regard for America's institutions, the foundational cultural structures, laws, and organizations that define the United States. And for now, he appears to have gone rogue.
Still, the Supreme Court is correct in affirming the power of the US President to fire any head of departments within the Executive Branch. This is a no brainer. If your boss is the President, the President can fire you even if your appointment has been blessed by your mother and Congress.
