Wow. Just wow. The "Pro Life" confederate taliban want to bring honor killings to Trumpistan.

North Carolina Republicans just introduced a bill that would permit stranger to kill you for seeking an abortion. No, we’re not exaggerating.
Two Republican representatives in North Carolina, Keith Kidwell and Ben T. Moss Jr., just introduced House Bill 1232 which is a bill that would classify abortion as first-degree murder.
If signed into law, the North Carolina Constitution would be amended to declare that human life begins at fertilization, classify abortion as first-degree murder, and grant any person the right to use deadly force to defend “the life of another person” from “willful destruction.” That means a stranger could legally kill a woman on her way to a clinic and call it self-defense. It would also make IVF illegal and classify Plan B as murder.
This is not a debate about when life begins. This is a bill that removes women from the category of people the law is supposed to protect.
Only a man would try to pass something so stupid and uninformed. Approximately 50% of naturally fertilized eggs successfully implant into the uterine wall. They are trying to legalize killing people but claiming to be “pro-life” give me a f**king break. The hypocrisy is sickening.

Oh and on another level of absurdity if you follow their intended definition of "human life" that would make a blowjob cannibalism if you swallow.

Fuck these morons.

This is exponentially worse than Florida’s horrific “Free Kill Law.”

Which I thought set a new, unsurpassable low!
@KunsanVeteran What is really terrifying is it creates a legal framework where misogynists could legally and literally start hunting women.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Surely this must have ZERO chance of ever passing
@KunsanVeteran I hope so.
Late 2024 or early 2025, Florida was trying to outlaw IVF (and whatever their rationale was, it made absolutely no sense to me).

The IVF clinics weren’t taking any new patients and the medical staffs of those clinics were making their evacuation plans…

Things have since cooled down somewhat—at least compared to Texas.

I cannot understand why any woman would ever vote for a MAGAt candidate!
@KunsanVeteran I cannot think of any greater philosophical disconnect than being opposed to abortion and IVF.

If there’s some logic to this, it escapes me.

But if they kill a pregnant woman on her way to an abortion clinic, then they’re not “defending the life of another person from willful destruction,” because if the mother gets killed then the fetus will die too anyway. That is unless they bring an ER doctor with them to do an emergency operation to deliver the baby immediately.

@Theyitis you're clearly thinking about this harder than they are.
Whoever introduced such a bill should have been immediately expelled and barred from ever running for elected office again.

Kidwell and Moss should be severely sanctioned.

@Diotrephes Or we could castrate Republicans "men". Problem solved too.
