House blocks Trump-class battleship as NATO cuts advance

The House Armed Services Committee’s draft National Defense Authorization Act includes a provision that prohibits the U.S. Navy from entering into a contract to build the Trump-class battleship. This restriction will remain in place until the Navy demonstrates that the ship’s advanced weapons systems are sufficiently mature for deployment.

Well. The Navy apparently finally learned their lesson after sub spent a decade in upgrade hell in dry dock and the Latoral class white elephant nobody including the Navy can use or wants. Especially after it's main armament the ship was designed around was cancelled and they just bolted on some missile launchers afterwards because they literally had no idea what to do with them.

There is also the fact Trump's obsession with a new class of battleship is idiotic.

I bet neither one of them even knows about the drones that invaded Barksdale AFB and what message Iran was sending with that…

@KunsanVeteran Kegsbreath might think it is 1991 but based on what Trump is hell bent on forcing on the Navy he thinks it is 1944.
