Some important background: Senator Bill Cassidy (R — LA) lost his recent Republican primary to a tRUMP endorsed candidate. tRUMP has never forgiven Cassidy for voting to impeach him. In a pathetic example of weak Republicans kowtowing to Demented Donnie, Cassidy—a physician—led the Republican charge in the Senate to get the unqualified & completely incompetent Robert F. Kennedy, Jr approved as the head of HHS.
Now Cassidy has flipped his vote on this current rendition of the Senate Resolution to end tRUMP’s illegal war on Iran resulting in a 50 - 47 vote in favor of the resolution. Three other Republicans had previously voted in favor of those resolutions and did again.
Now this DOES NOT ABSOLVE CASSIDY FOR HIS PREVIOUS VOTES AND SUPPORT OF tTRUMP! But it may break the log jam and have other Republican senators vote their consciences rather than the MAGA line.
Kennedy must be removed and perhaps a Senate resolution could be drafted to bring that to a vote?
