The Amish refuse to use modern toilets – and the people who came after them.

The Amish refuse to use modern toilets. For religious reasons, they use an outhouse. This is all very normal for the Amish family, who are farmers. This practice is part of the commitment to avoid “the lush of the world”: phones, electricity and septic systems.

An Amish man explained: “God knew that man was going to have feces and he made soil to absorb that.” The health department had received what one officer called “a large number of complaints” about the Amish. The department gave them seven days to comply but the Amish refused.

What do you support? Religious persecution or religious freedom?

I didn't read this post below before I made a reply.

It is. I reject the idea that Jesus was an apostate Jew as well.

According to the Christian Bible, the High Priest of Jerusalem, the authority on Hebrew scripture, condemned Jesus for blasphemy. Is that not so?

Nothing personal but I believe that Jesus was fully God and thus was not under any religious constraints. The Jews were chosen by Him as a priestly people and to offer the sacrifice of atonement. Jesus was the sacrifice

You believe that the Jews are a chosen people? Are you saying that Jesus' crucifixion was preordained and that it was an atonement for our sins?

@sree251 Among many other charges blaspheme was indeed one of the charges. The problem being that Jesus to them was a man who said He was God. That by definitions used by Jews was blaspheme. The problem being what if Jesus spoke the Truth?

Jews were chosen for the purpose of offering the blood sacrifice of Jesus but once that purpose was accomplished they became no different than any other human. If you are in Christ you are chosen since you can not be in Christ except that He chose you. If you are not in Christ then you are not accepting of God's chosenness.
