Will we see a united Ireland in our lifetime?
They certainly don't want the hard border again that may have to happen if Northern Ireland is to be dragged out of the EU by the UK.

why is there a divide between protestants and Catholics in ireland? they are both Christians worshiping the same god using the same bible. just some differences in style of worship services and building architecture. i dont even know the religion of most of my friends.

It's a complicated one. For some Catholics I think the protestants represent Britain. After they were planted in Ireland by the British government. They tended to be well off while the Brits let the Irish Catholics starve. Then it became Catholics are republicans and Protestants are unionists. There are many who prove this rule wrong though.
