@Kwek00 The job which you do for say $8000 a month, the same job could be done by someone asking $2000 because in his country $2000 is very much, though with Low IQ or low standards. He is hired, you are Fired and that is Free Market economy. That is globalisation.
@DanielsASJ Why are you explaining all of this to me? I'm very aware that MAGA ain't for a free market economy. And I'm really aware that the people that followed the slogan "drill baby drill", were ignorant about what is happening in the real world. And I'm also really aware, that MAGA enthusiasts are telling poor people to pay more for products, just so that the nationalists can boasts about how "patriotic" that they are. ... talking about low IQ, btw.
@DanielsASJ It's an open story... I just wanted to convey, that nothing is new here. At least my sarcasm was more reasonable then @Ohplease47s' reaction. Which makes 0 sense. Just like the responds to that... that "meat is being stolen from American farmers", which also makes 0 sense.
I also love that @Ohplease47, randomly brings up the NAZI-party... while the idea that an economy should be organised in the sole service of a particulairly defined group of people that formed the nation (or "volksgemeinschaft), was a NAZI-goal. So was autarky and the militairisation of the industry of Germany. I think Christian-nationalists and MAGA supporters, should really not talk about NAZI's to much, considering the large overlap in nationalist reasoning.
@Kwek00 A little study of political science suggests that it is a phase where every Nation has grown enough with the globalisation model to believe in self sufficiency that is why the model of globalisation as a benevolent economic activity has to fall. Nations are already preparing for that. In other words, GLOBALISATION is out of fashion just as cargo jeans may go out of fashion. Nations are building themselves up to be self sufficient - Example - Iran having enough oil yet justifying nuclear energy instead of Solar Energy. Biggest gainer will be China if Americans will still play this foolish game of globalisation.
@DanielsASJ Autarkie, doesn't work... which country in our history maintained an autarkie? Things get way to expensive over time and then autarkie falls apart. The nations that ussually strive towards autarkie, are nations that want to wreck their alliances and are preparing for war. 🤷♂... mostly because it's hard to make and maintain partnerships and freindships, when you want to be self-indulgent man child.
