Why Does Every Day Under Trump Have To Look Like We're In The 30s
We used to be able to count on the Secret Service to provide an accurate accounting of events.
Under Trump, they're starting to spin tall tales, just like DHS and ICE did in Minnesota.
The official story for Saturday's event, is that the gunman discharged his weapon and hit an agent in the chest. The agent's bullet proof vest saved him.
This is the line Trump is sticking to.
In reality, what happened is that the gunman bolted like an Olympic sprinter, and an agent had his gun out in a second and started firing with the checkpoint and civilians in the line of fire. He fired four shots, hitting another agent in the chest, and the other agents fired several shots, also with civilians and other law enforcement in their line of fire.
This is based on high resolution video, which also clearly shows the gunman did not discharge his weapon once.
WTF on so many levels. They missed a guy 2-3 feet from them, MULTIPLE times, and if the other agent was not wearing a vest, he would be dead, hit in the chest.
Even a third knows not to fire when your weapon is pointed to where it could cause collateral damage.
But of course Trump's people lie about. How the hell are we going to trust anything they say?
