The U.S. military’s reliance on Chinese suppliers.

The diminished US munitions stockpiles due to the Iran war have created a near-term risk. A war against a capable peer competitor like China will consume munitions at greater rates than in this war. Prewar inventories were already insufficient; the levels today will constrain U.S. operations should a future conflict arise.

A conflict with China over Taiwan will be more embarrassing in view of the armament supply chain. It all comes from China.

Then there is the small matter that most of the American munitions require materials from China. Thus the US is shipping out F 35 airplanes without radar because China won't sell the US the material needed to make the radars function.

@hippyjoe1955 Nobody was minding the store at the Pentagon. It was the same attitude in the Vietnam war. The Vietcongs were living underground below US bases.

@sree251 pretty much. Kind of funny and kind of sad how such a bumbling behemoth is senselessly killing so many people. Their sanctions alone have killed 38 million people.

@hippyjoe1955 The question is, why is Europe, not to mention Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand abetting the bumbling behemoth?

@sree251 They have all been bought with the American 'security umbrella'. That is being shown to be a joke but it kept the compliant compliant.

@hippyjoe1955 I don't think security has to do with it. It's us against the rest. It all began with England and the British Empire. We are family. We are tighter than our ties with France, Spain, Italy, Scandinavia, and Germany.

@sree251 Agreed that there are circles in the circles but the idea remains basically the same. What were we going to get.
