Trump's Conundrum.

If and when Vice President JD Vance runs for president, he WILL be asked if he will pardon Trump, probably asked to PLEDGE he won't.

If he does say yes or make that pledge to do so, it will cost him a LOT of votes in 2028. If he doesn't it will cost him a LOT of votes from the Trump MAGA sheep who will stay home on election day. A lose-lose situation for Vance.

Sure, if Vance runs and wins, Trump gets a pardon

But if Vance runs and LOSES, the only way Trump gets a pardon (other than the dubious way of pardoning himself) is for him to resign the presidency and let Vance pardon him before a Democrat take office on January 20, 2029.

Trump is a clear danger to society, and a pardon from a future president is a clear threat that would undermine a prison sentence and place trump right back to being a severe danger to society. Where does that leave us?? There’s only one solution, death sentence.
@AbstractWave It does rather leave one with the idea that the existing justice system needs to be disassembled to the point where all pardons were suspended and blanket pardoning of individuals was removed, with sentences reapplied..And that means no Supreme court any more. Those are big steps and its hard to see anything other than military tribunals taking their place.😷
